An automotive steering gear is an important part of the steering system. The function of a steering gear is to transfer the rotational input from the steering wheel into the directional movement of the wheels. The gear input shaft attaches to the steering column via the intermediate shaft and the box transfers the input of the driver to move the tires in the desired direction.
